Um, I think I did something rash....

Okay, I KNOW I did something rash. But I was fresh out of the shower and couldn't stop obsessing about how long my hair had gotten and how bad my ends looked. So I did it.

Yes, with household scissors, and no, this isn't the first time.

Yes!!! I afully support the DIY trim. Some women get so uptight about doing a little chop-chop in the sink, but if you hair is longish to begin with, what's the problem?

Did you have that doll when you were a kid where you "installed" hair inside her little plastic skull and you pulled it out inch-by-inch? The whole point was so you could keep cutting her hair. I was obsessed with her. I am surprised I don't cut hair for a living... that's how gonzo I went on her poor mane...

I do this with my bangs all the time! Not that that makes it a good idea for, like, normal people to do, but at least you have company.

Decorno: Thank you for sprinkling some of your fairy dust onto my blog....will you wear my letterman's jacket, too? And no, I didn't have that doll, but it sounds like I could've used the practice! But yes, it's not such a big deal with long hair, though I'm sure the next time I go to get it "shaped" the fine stylists might gasp or talk behind my back.

Nerdyfashionista: Remember when I brought my household scissors to school and they still had little clumps of hair on them? I'm so gross.

I *always* think stylists and pedicurists they are secretly mocking me for my at-home remedies to hair and toes...

yes, I have occasionally been scolded for using bottle dye. As if I can afford to spend $150 every month when my hideous roots grow in! A little reality check here, people.
